Welcome to my blog...it is just a bunch of random notes to myself, for myself, and if it happens to help someone else...cool.
I am currently working for a large consulting company which supports a national nonprofit organization with 23000 workstations and 250 configuration servers.

Suprise Configuration
I wiped my home system clean and reinstalled Dapper. I was suprised at how much manual settings I had to reconfigure. Maybe we need to create a configuration backup to automate this process.
I upgraded to Dapper and was pleasantly surprised to find that my system is much more responsive than with Breezy. Firefox seems especially snappier. I really like the new GNOME deskbar applet too.
Have you tried the Beagle applet with the Beagle software? It is a linux google desktop replacement. It indexes your email, web pages, and files both locally and remotely.
