I especially like #1 about being personal with donors and #3 about sharing their impact in tangible terms, this really makes them feel valued. A handwritten note really delights donors and makes them feel acknowledged but often once a non-profit grows in terms of donors the thank you note gets forgotten. For larger non-profits different services are available that can do this work for you (Ex: Thankster.com) to make sure your donors still feel valued. Just thought I’d throw in my 2 cents, anyway great post Meredith!!
