How to install array manager 3.7 after Windows 2003 installation:
We need to do this because most of our servers were installed using Windows 2003 disks not Dell's OpenManage options. Now we can really use this component and don't want to reinstall Windows.
Download:
ftp://ftp.dell.com/sysman/MN-WIN-4.5_A00.exe
it will self-extract to "C:\OpenManage"
Then At the command line type the following:
C:\OpenManage\windows\SystemsManagement\SysMgmt.msi ENABLEAM=YES
Choose custom install and disable everything except array manager.

Great - thanks for this pointer. I had the Management Tools loaded but no sign of any Array Manager section.
ReplyDeleteYou note helped me search for SysMgmt.msi where I could then run the setup again, tick the missing 'Array Manager' bit and then it adds it in.
